WALKING TOUR OF CORK STAINED GLASS WITH GLUCKSMAN GALLERY

This guided walking tour invites you to experience some of the most magnificent stained glass windows in Cork. From the majestic beauty of Josef Albers’s 1918 Rosa Mystica, specially reconstructed for The Sacred Modernist exhibition, to Harry Clarke’s richly illustrated designs at the Honan Chapel, to the nearby Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral, designed by architect William Burgess and consecrated in 1870, this tour will look at how artists have used stained glass to inspire and illuminate their surroundings.

This tour will start at the Lewis Glucksman Gallery at 1pm, Friday 1st June 2012 and continue to the Honan Chapel and Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral. Please ensure you arrive on time and book your place in advance. The tour ends at 3pm and costs €10 per person.
