LAMPWORKING VACANCY, UK
Crieff based Caithness Glass are currently looking
for an experienced lampworker to help within their busy studio. Ideally
the candidate should have experience in making small inclusions that
would then be picked up inside molten glass and formed into solid
paperweights. Types of inclusions would consist of flowers, animals and
other abstract designs. Skills in bead making and other jewellery
components would also be beneficial. The candidate should have
experience in design and be able to work to a brief but also use their
own knowledge and skills to create designs and one off pieces that would
be included in the Caithness range.
Ideally the candidate would be based at the Crieff
studios, but we would also consider the possibilities of working with
someone based further away who was able to provide us with what we need
through regular mailings or drop offs to the factory in person every
other day or week. Salary
