THE GREENWAY SCULPTURE PROJECT 2012, WESTPORT
The Greenway Sculpture Project 2012 is a temporary outdoor exhibition of contemporary sculpture open to all practicing sculptors. The exhibition will run over the summer months until October. The aim of the exhibition is to exhibit the very best of contemporary sculpture in the dramatic outdoor setting along the Great Western Greenway, Co. Mayo. The Greenway runs 42kms on the coast of Clew bay linking Westport to Achill Island. Artists can submit both existing sculptures and propose new works. Works must be suitable for safe public exhibition in an outdoor setting. Works will be selected by a panel appointed by the organisers which will include practicing artists. This opportunity to exhibit will be of interest to emerging and established artists.
The deadline for entries is 30th March 2012. To apply please send your entry form with images of proposed work printed or on CD with appropriate administrative fee. Cheques should be made payable to Greenway Artists Initiative Project (€10 single entry, €20 up to three). Completed entries should be sent to: Greenway Sculpture Project, Greenway Artists Initiative, Georges Street, Newport. Co. Mayo.
