NATIONAL COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN SEEK PROFESSOR/ HEAD OF VISUAL CULTURE
Applications for Professor/Head of Visual Culture (five year appointment) are currently being accepted at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin (contract type: contract, salary: €89,753 to €106,689 p.a. pensionable). The closing date for applications is 4.00 p.m. on 14th December 2011.
The National College of Art and Design is Ireland's leading educator of art and design practitioners and teachers. NCAD is a recognised college of University College Dublin. NCAD seeks a leader in Visual Culture as the College enters a dynamic phase of development in a changing environment. As part of the senior management team, the postholder will lead implementation plans for future learning and teaching, promote interdisciplinary co-operation and advance joint courses and activities with UCD and other bodies.
A Doctoral qualification is desirable with at least five years post qualifying experience. Candidates will need to demonstrate an impressive record of strategic achievement in practice/ management/education settings, together with the skills, knowledge and experience to lead and manage Visual Culture in NCAD through a period of development over the next five years.
