The Oratory, Finner Camp base of 28th Infantry Batallion of the Irish Defence Forces, between Bundoran and Ballyshannon, County Donegal.
Donegal County Council Public Art Programme aims to commission a substantial new stained-glass / contemporary glass window design, fabrication and installation into the Oratory at the Finner Camp base of 28th Infantry Batallion of the Irish Defence Forces, to honour all those Defence Force Personnel from the 28th Infantry Batallion of The Irish Defence Forces who served during the recent troubles and who have served on overseas missions. This commission is the key element of our project How We Remember, and funding for this commission is made possible by an award from the PEACE III Programme managed for the Special EU Programmes Body by Donegal County Council.
Maximum budget of € 42,000 (to include artist’s fee, vat, materials, pre installation works including knocking out bricks to create window, transport to site, installation of work, insurance etc.)
